DIY Terrarium-Making Class
Come get your hands dirty!
A beginner friendly class. Happens on Wednesday December 17th, 2025 from 6-8pm.
In this DIY Terrarium-making class, we'll be making terrariums containing live plants- along with moss, rocks/agates, and other decorations! At the end of the class, you'll take home your very own handmade terrarium, to love and care for. Hosted by Green Redemption Plants & Terrariums.
What you'll learn:
The science behind terrariums, why charcoal matters, etc. 🔬
How to build your own terrarium! 🌱
Keeping your terrarium alive and thriving. 🌿
What is provided:
Everything needed to create and take home a terrarium (rocks, soil, charcoal, plants, jar, decorations, headlamps, tweezers, and more). 🔧
What to bring:
A positive attitude and a love for plants! 🪴
This class is perfect for plant lovers and beginners alike. You'll learn why terrariums are wonderful additions to any space, how to care for them, and how to make your own for any future terrarium projects! No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn, create, and get your hands dirty!
For groups, please have each person register separately. Feel free to sit together in the class!

The Basics of Growing Gourmet & Medicinal Mushrooms
Instructor: Jay Northwoods
In this class you will learn basic mushroom terms, and get tips of the trade for the budget grower with 20 years of experience of collecting and cultivating mushrooms.
The class will cover:
*Spores and life of spores
*Mycelium and “Spawn”
*Mycorrhizal relationships and mushrooms
*Gills, pores, and other identifying factors for identification
*Substrates to grow your mushrooms on
* Environmental factors to start fruiting mushrooms
* Harvesting
Attendees will receive a in-depth, but easy to comprehend, guide to mushroom cultivation and a gift of some wild gourmet mushrooms.

Growing Mushrooms: Introduction to Sterilization and Pasteurization with MycoSueño
So you want to grow mushrooms at home! Learning how to properly prepare grain and substrate is a great place to start.
In this workshop you’ll learn the basic principles of sterilization and pasteurization, tools and techniques, pros and cons, as well as expert DIY tips for beginners. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in local food production and mushroom cultivation.
