DIY Terrarium Making

In this DIY Terrarium-making class, we'll be making terrariums containing live plants- along with moss, rocks/agates, and other decorations! At the end of the class, you'll take home your very own handmade terrarium, to love and care for. Hosted by Green Redemption Plants & Terrariums. 
What you'll learn:
  • The science behind terrariums, why charcoal matters, etc. 🔬
  • How to build your own terrarium! 🌱
  • Keeping your terrarium alive and thriving. 🌿
What is provided:
  • Everything needed to create and take home a terrarium (rocks, soil, charcoal, plants, jar, decorations, headlamps, tweezers, and more). 
What to bring:
  • A positive attitude and a love for plants! 
This class is perfect for plant lovers and beginners alike. You'll learn why terrariums are wonderful additions to any space, how to care for them, and how to make your own for any future terrarium projects! No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn, create, and get your hands dirty!

In this class we will go over basic mushroom terms and get tips of the trade for the budget grower. We will cover :

  • Spores and life of spores
  • Liquid Culture
  • Unicorn bags vs Mono tubs
  • Mycelium and “Spawn”
  • Mycorrhizal relationships and mushrooms
  • Gills, pores, and other identifying factors for identification
  • Substrates to grow your mushrooms on
  • Environmental factors to start fruiting mushrooms
  • Harvesting
Attendees will receive a full in- depth, but easy to comprehend guild to mushroom cultivation and a gift at the end.
